All I wanted to find at tesco yesterday was some anchovies.... were they near the pasta sauce? No. How about next to the olives/antipasto jars. Nope. Right, I'll try the tinned fish isle. Any anchovies in a jar there.... negative. World foods - not there either. Where the bloody hell do they put the anchovies? I walked around for bloody ages. Then lined up for half an hour. I thought the gods were smiling on me as just next to the conveyor belt thing I find a jar of anchovies - eureka I scream in my head... only to have the check out chick try to scan it and it wouldn't scan. I couldn't be arsed waiting so I went home frustrated and salty fish-less :( A sad day indeed.
