BB won't thread

Hi,

I'm currently trying to fit this BB:

It's the 68-127mm size. The fitting is correct but for some reason it won't thread on. I'm worried that by forcing it too much it might damage either the frame's bb thread or the bb itself. Any ideas? Thx.

What frame is it going into? Are the BB shell threads straight, spotlessly clean and well greased?

I was told that it is British 68mm.

Odd, it seems I was screwing the wrong way...started turning anticlockwise and it went straight in.
