Who is this Lori to whom you refer? And how are you close?
Is there something you wish to tell us?

that's fucking harsh and uncalled for. this is all you can find to say about the death of a young lad? being a heartless prick does not make you some kind of insightful truth teller; it just makes you a heartless prick.

I agree that it's not nice to make a joke of a death. Yes I may not know him, but I can empathise with the feeling of lost for his parents, family and friends.
It's not nice to lose someone no matter how or what they did to die.
That being said, I also don't think Bleak has that ability to have that feeling as me. Perhaps he likes to try and be funny on a forum? Perhaps he does not care if someone across the world dies because it's not like he made that comment in front of the kids parents.
Maybe I'm being a pussy, but I'll tell anyone that I would prefer it this way.
Rest In Peace Kid

no,*** you're*** a natural formation that looks like a cunt

Oh do fuck off. On this forum I've seen everything ripped on, from racism to genocide to death to depression to war to whistlers. Those insufferable cunts. Fuck me, Wiganwill, I've seen you suggest suicide bombing as an antidote to shit sports commentary. Aren't jokes about suicide bombing a little heartless too? No? Why not?
But oh no, because this moron died on a fucking bike it's suddenly a tragic event and we can't rip on it? Fuck that. Fuck that in the eye.
Look, don't get me wrong, if someone who knows this kid is reading this, I'll retract and delete - I don't want to offend anyone who has a genuine reason to be offended - but unless that happens? This is the internet my friend. Get a fucking helmet.

You can't tell the difference between suggesting suicide bombing as a way of shutting up a sports commentator and making a sarcastic 'joke' about a specific person's death? If I make comments that offend people then they can call me on it; and I will admit if I think I made a misjudgment. Please don't get all pissy because someone tells you what they think of something you wrote; if "it's the internet" is a defence for you then equally it is for me. But I don't understand the view of anyone who could read the story here and feel it necessary to insult the boy regardless of whether or not his family or friends would read it. If that comment was what came in to your mind when you read the story then fine, you certainly have the right to post it. Other people have the right to tell you they thought it was uncalled for and heartless.

I didn't mean to flame you at all mate. I'm just saying this is how I am and perhaps that is how you are.
I havent seen the racist stuff or jokes on genocide yet, and if this is how the forum is, then I'll make sure I avoid those type of posts.
There are jokes that are funny, and even some of the racist stuff etc... are too, but I like to try and not let myself get away with stuff just because I'm on the internet.

Wasn't talking in your direction either bud - I think all dispositions are appropriate on the internet as long as they're consistent. I'm never going to be down on anyone for being sensitive, only hypocritical.

He was someone's son though.
And while that was funny when Bill said it when you say it it's just... bleak.

My brother did something similar when we were growing up... without the rope of course. But yep decided it would be a great idea to cycle off the end of a jetty. He ended up being taken to the local GPs by my pissed off mum for a dozen stitches in his leg. Hes not cured cancer yet either.

Your'e going to chide someone called Bleak Reference for making a Bleak Reference? There's a label on the tin for a reason bud.

You're calling this kid stupid for jumping in a river. Can you honestly say you have never done something equally, if not more, stupid? I know I can't.
This kid was just having fun and got unlucky.

Things like this will keep happening as long, as there are idiots who think that stapling their cocks to the plank of wood is funnier than Morecambe and Wise... I blame media.
-
• #24
^Not really; I grew up watching Morecambe and Wise and still went out and did stupid stuff. The difference between a few bruises and a broken neck when you fall out of a tree is pretty slight and down to chance. Today I saw a guy with his two children, of about 3 and 5, walking along the pavement. Well, he was walking, they were on their little push-scooter things; both of them wearing cycle helmets. That is something I blame on the media, by and large. Kids will always die in silly accidents, just as adults do; death claims a random crop every day. These children's 'stupidity' is not something to be mocked or derided though.
