I hereby challenge you, this thread and all occupants, to find a bottom bracket that has 26tpi threads and doesn't cost an absolute fortune. It appears that the only 26tpi bb I can find it a Phil which I really can't afford and wouldn't want to spend that much for. It's the old Raleigh size threading and it's causing me grief. I know there are other options like re-cutting the thread, or putting in a threadless bb, or putting a new shim in and having it threaded to the right size. There is even the option of having a new bb shell welded in for less than the cost of a Phil bb!
Anyone got any ideas? Oh, and the bb shell is 70mm wide.
