Not really "oops". Not many DuraAce/Record/Red buyers are going to trade down to second tier groupsets because they are the kind of people who want the top of the range come what may, so it doesn't matter to them that Ultegra/Chorus/Force provides the same function with only a few ounces of extra weight at little over half the price. It is important to the manufacturers to have reviews which say the second tier groupsets are basically just as good as the top of the range, because second tier is where the profit is made in OEM sales.
