  • Campag have decided, correctly, to press the bearings to the expensive part (crank/axle assembly) and let if float in the cheap part (cups). When the complete BB assembly gets dirty and wobbles about, the soft cheap cups will get destroyed. All the other external BB systems press the bearings into the cups and let them float on the axle, which means the axle will wear before the cups.

    I was'nt aware of that^ interesting. The point I was trying to make was that campagnolo not developed a separate crankset for BB30 use. They have simply bought out an improved version of their BB cups.
