I kinda know what you mean Skully, but I think the reason I like Chris Morris is that he embraces the awkward silence, the not overtly 'funny' - he leaves a lot open to interpretation, which goes against the traditional setup/punch we're used to seeing on TV. He is a bit wanky yes, but he hits the mark for me more often than not...I can forgive him Nathan Barley simply because Julian Barret was excellent in it...
