Could be either 500 or SSC models, the SSC was anodised, the 500 polished, when new and clean it's very hard to tell them apart, with age, the SSCs remain sprakly whilst the 500s suffer a degree of surface corrosion.
Those look to have alloy bodies on the quick release, so I suspect they'll be the SSC, "Special Service de Course".
Lovely hubs, I have two pairs and really don't know what to do with them. The bearings last forever, they are really light, but very tough. -

There were two models around in the late 1980s, one was called the 556 and I think another was the 506. They looked identical but the 556 was anodized. They came in 126mm rear spacing. A later version can in 126 or 130mm. To use the smaller size, the locknut was removed and a 4mm spacer taken off. I've got a pair somewhere, I think.
looking for info about these hubs, age? worth? they run smooth as silk despite cosmetic damage.
