I'm riding my first ever single speed after a lifetime of multi-gears. Its 52 front and 13 back. Takes some shifting when starting on a hill, but lovely passing most other people on a nice long straight. Hills are becoming less taxing as my thighs increase in diameter.
Only thing, its a little less agile than I'm used to when darting through static traffic.
Gonna build me a fixie next - got the frame and the BB all ready to go.
