Tho' interestingly, you can get a dessert black pudding in Spain... Google morcilla... That would work in a pie with some apple... Or even a crumble, if that's your bag...

Now i have recovered from the shock of the suggestion of black pudding as a desert i follow what it is you are saying.
I know of this regional spanish pork dish.. its not up to stornways Black pudding, it lacks in texture, but it is a little richer
