Nup, they have ripped off your flyer design for their header. Albeit changed the base typeface.
But... is it affecting your mates DJ career? Are you being financially hurt by their plagiarism? Also, was the original flyer logo trademarked?
There's probably little that you can do,, but it is cuntish that a so called creative consultancy would nick a logo. Maybe hit em up for some free advertising on their site/published mag for your DJ nights?
And yes, creatives are no such thing. We all copy each other and when there is someone actually making something new then we'll copy that too.

My experience tells me an email might do wonders., whatever 'wonders' mean.
But last year, January, after receiving an email from wiggle.co.uk (i've subscribed to
the mailing list), I realized they were using a little 'hand' symbol, picturing this kinda 'fuck yeah!'
attitude/look. That same little hand was a total rip-off from a NY based creative studio,
which happens to be one of my biggest work references.
I sent an email to the offices of Wiggle, on the same day the 'hand' was off the campaign.
Of course it wasn't their brand that was in question, still they reacted, whatever it was behind it.
Send them a letter, it is a very dubious field, the one of copywriting™. -

ask them for a job seeing as they like your work so much
Rep for the best response on this thread so far (up to that point)! Maybe you should get involved in their magazine, as you seem to think you're already a designer for them.
