Joe (the owner) saved them from extinction by having the foresight to know when things needed to expand...Pharrell was a big help by investing but it's Joe that designed all the new frames and did all the hard work.

That said...Pharrell is a pretty good bmxer...he's also owned bikes from bmw for the last 8yrs...long before he invested.
Of course he's gonna be posing with the bikes every chance he gets, it's in his interest to.
