Yeah I use both front and rear - Simply for that reason, as an annoying flashy thing. Bloody bright for something so small. I tend to find that the front needs charging more often than the rear for some reason (both flashing...)
Get the set, it probably works out cheaper. As they're so small and no fittings are needed, I tend to stick em in a saddlebag in case a long weekend jaunt ends up being longer than expected...
