Started with a free 60's road bike. From this i used the saddle, post, handlebars, stem, , chainset and front wheel. Then bought a decentish old frame for £40. Used fixed back wheel for £40 and then misc parts top it up to the total figure.
Lasted 8months on the first one as i left it at my parents place in france when a cotterpin broke. Took the wheels and saddle off it as they're still fine. If i could be bothered i'd repair it to have as my bike in france. Second one had a dent and a crack in the frame when i got it and i'm retiring it cos it's on its last legs.
