But union carbide got away with it.
They paid out minimal compensation to the locals and then sold their stock to Dow, who are doing quite nicely thank you.
As stated above, Dani is now seen as the innocent victim, and from his post he comes across as a genuinely nice chap.
A decent and reasonable individual.
The kind of person one would buy a bike from.
