I think I'm going to look at the Charge Scissor for a 29ers, fixed wheel with front brakes naturally (Kona P2 disc fork).
I doubt you would get a 2.0+ knobbly off road tyre in the back so what makes it a 29er anymore than any other 'track' type bike with larger clearances (i.e. Steamroller)
I can see where you are coming from as I also prefer tighter geo that MTBs typically have so maybe I am just hung up on the 29er label :-)
