Please note that Paul hated flowers, so rather than contributing to the floral arrangements you can consider contributing to the funeral arrangements and costs.
In keeping with Paul/Fiddy/ 50/14 this will be a celebration of the man and his interests
hence a cycle cortège and a bike drawn hearse.
**
**The vehicular hearse will transfer Fiddy to the bicycle hearse in the roads next to Furnival Gardens.
Riders who wish to pedal for a stint on the hearse should make themselves known via PM to Dancing James and Object.
**
Object is leading the ride and will pace it and the stops so that we arrive at Mortlake Crematorium at ~2.35pm.
the bicycle hearse will lead and the vehicular hearse will be at the rear of the cortège****.
**- details of the Wake
I am happy to confirm that the Wake will take place at the Old Deer Park (http://www.olddeerpark.co.uk/) aka the London Welsh Rugby Club. We will have the use of the members bar which has 9 pumps for Guinness alone. The manager has assured me that he will not run out of beer.
They have Guinness, London Pride, Brains, 1664, Carlsberg, Strongbow on draught. I saw Magners in bottles and a full range of spirits.
There is easy enough space for 100+ bikes - please bring your usual compliment of locks - although the bikes will be parked within easy view of the 'smokers terrace'. Somehow I think it'll be OK...
We will be publishing a route from the Crematorium to the Venue - it's pretty close. They are expecting us after the service and will not kick us out if we are there in numbers till 'late'. (i.e if there are 5 people left at 10.30pm, it'll close - if more, it won't.)

As Dancing James has said on the 50/14 thread. The estate cannot afford to pay for the funeral. We cannot get a grant for the funeral as they are limited to families on state suppliments and in any case where the funeral is arranged by the state it is a 'paupers funeral' and we don't think Paul deserves this.
There would be little chance to celebrate Paul's life in this case.
In broad terms, 200 people donating £10 each will cover the bulk of the
arrangements assuming we can release what funds there are in the bank.
We also will be paying the costs of the graphic designers in printing the artwork
for the casket and the Wake.
Any excess will be converted to beer vouchers for use at the Wake in a fair and equitable way.
Thank you all for for patience at this time, it's difficult to go through anothers 'life' at the best of times and this has been a demanding & difficult job for all concerned. Many thanks to all that have helped me.
Please keep all discussion on the 50/14 thread here: http://www.lfgss.com/thread34433.html as this thread will be used for announcements pertaining to the funeral only.
