Bebop cleats

Any hep-cats out there still skootin on Bebop pedals?

I've sourced a new pair, but one of the cleats looks to be faulty. There's a bit of play in the plate over the spring mechanism and I can't see how to tighten it -- it being held together by pins. Sure enough, that cleat releases much more easily than the other (and always in the worst places...).

Can any Bebop experts tell me if
a) they ever get play in the cleat plate?
b) and if so, is there any way of fixing it?

No never had play in the plate that sits on top of the spring, and I must have gone through 8-10 pairs.

b) and if so, is there any way of fixing it?

Not that I can see as the plates above the springs are pinned on.

No photo necessary cos it has the appearance of a happy god-fearing cleat. However, finger that cleat (light, deft touches with a bit of lube for ultimate pleasure) and it wobbles.

I got it off ebay along with NOS pedals. Quite a good price, but from the US and not worth trying to send back.

This guy on ebay (not the same seller as above) also has a few pairs. Please don't buy em all or I'm scrooooed! ;o)

Had to share the good news. Asked VP components (now responsible for making Bebops) about my wobbly cleat.
They're sending me a new set, no charge, by airmail!

How bad is the 20º float? Considering them but it seems a lot float for a pedal,
they seem to be the only decent weight/ priced spd pedals out there.?!

I know this is an old subject but I see no reason to make a new post, so I would like to ask if anyone knows where to buy Bebop pedels these days?
