Well since buying the Rapha winter jersey mid-November I've been wearing it pretty much non-stop. When its been really cold I've been using a base layer - thin merino mid layer - winter jersey and its always been warm enough. Windproofing at the front is excellent and the side vents on the jersey are very effective too for when I've got too hot.
Only thing about that I'm not 100% on is the very bright pink lining down the zip which isn't entirely to my taste and is not really visible on the photos on the Rapha site. It wouldn't have affected me buying it but it really is very pink.
So in classic Rapha style, it works very well, looks great but is a bit pricey
