Correct. We are watching what I believe to be a power shift in English football, Liverpool may well be rescued by someone else buying them, United will be a basket case for a good few years .
If Mourinho goes anywhere it's likely to be Tottenham (if Harry gets his comeuppance from HMRC), or Arsenal if Wenger calls it a day and Kroenke takes over.
