If it wasn't for the financial restrictions in place and a 4 year contract, Benitez wouldn't have seen Christmas at Liverpool. As this season is another write off, he'll be able to finish the season and if he doesn't manage to get 4th place he should do the honourable thing and walk the plank.
Martin O'Neill could be the right man for the job.
