Where and how do you get the key for the padlock? Is it possible to lock the bike on something once inside? Would it be safe to leave the bike overnight, in an 'emergency' of some kind (think drinking too much on a Friday).

They built up scaffold pole stands and fixed them to the structure of the containers. Everyone bolts on to them. Yeah, I'd say it was secure. I should have left mine overnight after a friday drinking spell, walked into a jutting out bit of metal and hit the floor. Got on my bike and came off again before I left the car park... The next week they put the lights in them, I guess security watched the whole thing...
I forget the keeper of the keys name... he works in the office next to the printing dept. Try asking if there are more spaces. It's never at capacity... -

I did my MA in fashion photography at LCF.. what a strange place it was! I can't remember many bikes in front of the college back in the day though (couple of years ago...) people was more into handbags! Last time I went to the college in Davies Street there was a charge.. that was all.

Yeah, LCCCC please create a blog for all non-facebook users or boycotters! I'm so up for a RP even though I'm a virgin!

I am really up for Rollapaluza too.
It would be good to meet at LCC then ride down to Goldsmiths together. -

Nice one, bring it on! Is there adequate bike parking at Goldsmiths's?
-
• #163
there are lots of racks and some of those weird bike tree racks that seem to remain empty......but early arrival is advisable, if only to generate some heat in the room.

also if there are any UAL'ers who can take some posters off my hands and put them up / let the right people know that would be cool. I'm not sure how your uni's feel about imposters impostering with posters......

Just realised it's fecking miles away! SE14?! Jesus. That's... Like... Miles away! Anyone from the East riding there? Would be cool to go together to warm up! Also, are the RP bikes equipped with SPDs or normal pedals? Otherwise I'd need to take shoes with me too.
I'm sure David Phillips (BA Graphics) will be happy to take off some posters. He's "head" of LCCCC.

I still have not heard anything from LCCCC. True I'm buried in my dissertation right now, but I'd make the time for it!

Not miles away in true distance but for what it is (or what it is worth to me) is what I meant. You have to agree that it wouldn't be a good idea to get smashed at the RP and then cycle all the way back to Hackney. I'm quite sensible that way. Could take public transport but wouldn't that have a knock-on effect on my street cred? After all, I'm only riding my bike to ride to the art shop and drink milk!

I think there's going to be a few Chelsea people on Thursday. Let the rolling commence...

Thought this year old thread could do with a bump.
I am currently sat in the street lecture theater of LCC being very bored. looking forward to finishing and riding my bike home.
Who else is at LCC? you gotta be on here, every day i struggle to find a place to lock my bike if i arrive after 10!
It was great when it snowed, i was able to lock up wherever i wanted! -

I went to camberwell, but often went on excursion to lcc. I always lock on the other side (the side with the drop on) no one ever lifts their bike and locks to the inside. worked a treat for me.
Ahem, got carried away there, they do have CCTV... they even moved the containers (by crane...) so they can be in view... Security just told me so!
