Not sure where else to put this without starting a new thread and it is kind of an on going project....
If you were to flip the stem upside down, ie. first I had it with a rise and flipped it over to a slight drop. It feels as though it's completely changed the handling of the bike, why? Basically.
If you change the position of the bars you've changed the bike, if you've changed the bike you've changed the handling. A little difference makes a big difference sometimes.
If the bars are lower then more weight could be over the front, or vice versa, you could be putting more power into turning the bars, or less, or a hundred other things.
