    can't blame the seller. i doubt anybody would have paid the cumulative total of all the bits.

  • I was after a set of those Resilions - but at £111 with 9 days to go it's too rich for my blood.

    I hate resprays - OCD people can't leave all those lovely imperfections and have to paint over all that history just for vanity. Rust rules.

    Agree I left my Hobbs frame unrestored I prefer it that way and its about 300 quid to redo the paint and the chrome

  • ....brakes.........

    ...

    Has anyone ever used brakes like these?

    I've got a tandem frame with similar very rusty ones, they've even got the patent no. on. Are they work keeping/re-chroming?

  • very useful but what do you have in mind? restoring and placing in a cabinet or using? if your forks are not drilled - bingo

  • I used them on a solo about 25 years ago they were ok

  • coppi: I planned to use them a 50s tandem that they came off, just wondered if they'd actualy stop it. Had planned to get canti braze-on's... but TBH I'm a bit too precious and sentimental to fuck about with old frames.

    I'm not much for keeping things in a cabinet... in fact I'm trying to clear my bits out so they'll be used by others.

    Edric: cheers.

  • Would love to have got this. Stick it in my shop and have some drunken fun. (sorry if it's a repost i did check)

  • Yeah - not only is that Koga "Myata" incorrectly described - why is it subtitled Colnago, bianchi, gios, pinarello...etc and why is postage to the UK US $120 from France? Having said that its probably the 82 model and may well have been sold with a mixture of AX and EX.

    super nice guy. can't say that enough.
    if i had the cash i'd be on this like a rash- perfect complement to my bike.

  • clear as mud then! cheers for the info anyway chaps, i'll wait for a cheaper one!

    yep it was a 2a but seller described as 1a. there is also a 3a which is ultra rare and has an even steeper drop, like on a nitto.

  • Flippin 'eck! Am I right in thinking that Laser went for over 6 grand!!!!??!

    Utter PORN

    1A = 73˚
    2A = 63˚
    3A = 58˚

    Hope that helps.

  • The other problem with Resilions is that you have to use special double cables and brakes pads that are much rarer than the brakes themselves plus the pads wear out really quick. But they save you having to drill a frame.

    Yep your right just over £6k at the current exchange rate! And six bids ain't bad!
