this was an EPIC first forum ride - major salute to all cats who made it so, those who are dedicated to the ride, and those who make decisions on their own/ instead of listening to others [weathermen...]
Forecast aint looking too good man! I am out...sorry,
Heavy snow forecast from 9pm...
digital propaganda mate -
was a SIIIIIICK ride! only had to use the goggles from the GLA to beigel land - where i realised it cut out the winds immensely [when they hit]. might be donning them fo the rest o' winta son!
i must say - - got a bit shook during morgasms tube change: someone said something about tubs .. only then did i realise "shit i'm riding tubs and aint NO way any cats are gonna have a spare...or tape"
49/14 kept me nice and toasty too - was nothing on ying's set up though - and much safeness ying and tim for the rationed fooooood along the way
and C&H for the hobo fire out front - nothing like gettin the eyes warmed up[smoked out].
and all of that 7mm allen key geekery
was really glad to be there - good vibes
spoke to a few but should have spoke to more, especially the spok [not really]...
coldest was my toes and most aching now is my jaw from munching those beigels.
fuckin wicked.

Goggles looked awesome. Tempted to get some of my own, I'm always getting watery eyes. That was me scaring you with talk of tubs, last forum ride I rode a 650 tub and got a flat right at the end of the ride. This time I came prepared with a clincher wheel and a 650 innertube, which was lucky for Morgasm!
Presence of a 7mm allen key made me very happy, also good use of D-Lock as a hammer.

plus who was the dude with the keirin gloves and the always shouting - figure you must be a key player
never understood throwing your knuckles to the ground first during a fall...???
-
• #422
If your hands are on the drops and you fall sideways, you would fall on your knuckles. That is one of the reasons I imagine they use them.
-
• #423
Throw your arms out, break collarbone.
Hold on, save bones but skin knuckles.
See maxcrowe's post for the rest. -
• #424
hey - when are our hands on the drops these days?
-
• #425
Yeah, this information is null and void for the hipsters.
58 hours?
