I'm based in aberdeen, just kinda testing the water for how much i could get for my wheelset but will sell for the right offer lol!
They're from on 08 fuji track, alex rpdis 700c rimms laced 3x to unsealed formula hubs (rear is fixed/free). I could be convinced to chuck in 15t cog and lockring and for an extra fiver i will chuck in an unused 16t dicta freewheel!

I'm afraid, a drop off would be difficult during the week, but I am happy to meet you at the weekend, say Saturday.
But i'll have to tell you now, I've just checked my account, and I've got £80, that I could give you for the wheels.
Is that okay? Feel free to refuse
Thanks -

The flip flop hub will have to be freewheel / fixed...unless you want to do some serious convincing to get me to ride fixed/fixed :)
The "fixed" and "free" sides of the hub differ in that there is room for a lockring (which is smaller and reverse threaded) on the fixed side.
As a general rule, you can thread a freewheel on to the "fixed" side of any hub - i.e. you can run a fixed/fixed hub as fixed/free or even free/free. The reverse is not true as you cannot fit a lockring on the "free" side of a hub, so if you were to screw on a cog (which is possible), there would be nothing to prevent it from unthreading when you applied backward pressure to the drivechain.
I guess what I'm saying is, a fixed/fixed wheelset would suit your purposes just as well as a fixed/free. I don't have one to offer you, though.

Thanks a lot,
Really am a fixed gear newbie and i'm sure you've saved me a whole load of problems :) -

ThanksHi,
Sorry but i'l refuse the offer for the moment.
I think 90 is a fair price and i'l hold out for that.

I should be able to get the money together reasonably soon, but don't hold the wheels for me.
Thanks for your help anyway -

I don't have anypics, only decided to sell them like five mins before coming online lol!
But i'll try and borrow a camera to take some pics tomorrow!! -
• #18
Yeah that'd be great, any minimum price you want to reveal?
-

I was looking for about £90 to £100 pounds for the wheelset! But i'll chuck in the cog, lockring and freewheel! I'm going to take some pics tonight and upload them so you can make a fair decision :) And make me an offer!
There is a couple of marks on the rear wheels braking surface and the front breaking surface shows signs of use! -

Flatmate appears to have gone awol, so no use of a camera atm! Sorry for the delay :s
-
• #21
No worries, do you know what model the wheels are so I could have a look online?
-

yeah, like i said they are from a 2008 fuji track and are Alex RPD-15 Rims 32 hole laced with a 3x spoking pattern to unsealed formula hubs, the rear is fixed free.
Sorry i got the name wrong of the rim, i can be slightly retarded at times!
Hello,
I recently started work on a new fixed gear bike, and am looking for a flip flop track wheel set, or just a rear wheel, but I would prefer a full set.
And wheel size is preferably 700c.
I live in Cambridge, and cannot get to London until the weekend, however I have a cousin living in Bloomsbury, very near to Holborn Tube Station, where the wheels could be dropped.
Cheap as possible is preferred, I have a budget of LESS THAN £90.
