- No it´s not my bike, I found that on flickr. Just wanted to show that not every conversion is wack!
Is that a threaded headset under the ahead stem?
For my money this Faggin is an infinitely tidier (albeit more budget) conversion. I like it a lot (it belongs to a friend), but in the context of this thread I don't either bike really qualifies as porn.

That Faggin is not a nice example of a good conversion frankly. Certainly not porn.
agree, with unused brake cable housing stops and parts not sensitive to the era of the frame - not a bad looking bike but miles off from bike porn.

This bike is the shit, and I want it! Awesome build by JCaprani, in current projects.

Even thought it's fairly basic, I can imaging the amount of fun I can have with this bike, I've forgetting how easy is it to go over the kerbs without needing to lift the front wheel with those tyres.

how much is a dropout change nowadays? seems like a pretty easy project to do. (not harshing on his build, it's quite obviously epic)
-

about £50 if you supply your own dropout/track end (quote I got from Ted James of 14 Bikes).

what a pillock, it's like applausing at yourself for something you done.
something nobody on here has ever done.

with his username matching the bicycle's drivetrain, yep.
looks like a 13 x 48 to me ed.

you don't half talk some crap, you still should lift the front wheel going up kerbs, even if it's just to save the headset.

Have you ridden an MTB with the Maxxis Hookworm tyres? even though you do need to lift it, the hookworm's big enough to just ride over it sometime.

hubjub sell some, 14 have just made some very clean looking ones as well judging by their blog. if they are reasonably priced I may buy a set for the future. I'm determined to build a frame some day.

whats actually going on here?
-

The fork isn't drilled for a brake so there is a clamp thing attached to the forks which allows a brake to be fitter.
-
• #24424
Clamp on brake. Designed so track bikes can be used for training on the road without having to drill a hole for the brake calliper.
