it has just dawned on me that i dont think we will be playing polo for a longggg time with the weather :( -

it used to be fix/fix but now it's free/fuck all as i stripped both threads.
rim is worth keeping in a new wheel, spokes are all fairly good, free tyre and tube. i have no space for it so it's free to a good polo home. i will bring it along to sunday polo anyway...

important info regarding possible lights/court hire at Manor School:
I've just had a phone call from Manor School regarding floodlights. They have said if we get a quote and pay for security light style floodlighting (not sodium lighting like Bwell) of a tennis court, then they will let us have exclusive and free access to a court at times we can agree with them.
We need to skiddadle down to the court to see if it's any good for us before we do anything. Plus I will speak to a couple of contractors in the week who might be able to help in giving us an idea of cost. Anybody know anyone who can do this type of thing for us? Friend of an electrician? If it's alot, we'll need to think about fundraising, or even if it is worth our while in the first place.
We could use this as a negotiation for bringing the cost down at Bwell court if it falls flat so either way this could be good guys...
I can see some negatives though, for a start will security light floodlighting be enough? Will the cost be too much? dunno yet, but still it is interesting.

Interesting ...... there's a lot of variables and things to be researched . I wonder if we could do it all on the cheap using 2nd hand stuff ?
-
• #1340
i reckon they'd be totally up for it, they are just after getting some lighting installed for free so i'd guess they don't mind if the kit is second hand. i reckon the next step is sort a meeting out there at some point to meet this chap and to recce the court and see if it's doable.
