Carpentry (joinery) or Welding?

It was a similar thing when I decided I wanted to get into the coffee industry. I had no pro experience or qualifications but I had bags of enthusiasm and had done a huge amount of research using my own initiative. I got a job as a van driver for a coffee company and just showed lots of enthusiasm and asked lots of questions, then a year later I got the job I always wanted as a coffee roaster.
