[IMG] changing to [URL]

I've noticed in a couple of my posts that this has happened, I post an [img] which works at first then after some time the image stops showing up in the thread, so I hit edit and it has changed into a [url] instead....

anyone else notice this happening?

How big are the pictures? When a picture is too big (Velocio set a max size) the picture becomes a link.

It's less than the rules stated (1024 high or wide.)

Just thought it was odd as it worked as an image for a while then changed to a url, perhaps a mod edit?

I thought it worked on image file size rather than image display size?

perhaps, i was just going on what is in the rules section:

"Images and Attachments

You can have up to 10 attachments per post.

Inline images (those which appear within the post and are not attached) are permitted to a maximum size of 1024 pixels wide or 1024 pixels high. Images that exceed either of these dimensions may be automatically removed and replaced by a link to the image. When replacing an image with a link, all other images in the same post will automatically be converted to links too."

It works on display size, and it works on all images in a single post even if only 1 image in the post exceeds the max size of either 1024px wide or 1024px high.
