You mean the Southampton Arms? It was done up recently, by the same people who run The Star on nearby Chester Road, thank god they've not gone all-out fancy-pants gastro, but kept a very stripped-back, refined old man's boozer feel in there... Small but beautiful place, and serves nice pork pies!

I spent NYE there, getting smashed on excellent ales and dancing like a maniac to live music from a raucous folk-ish band called The Flea Pit Orchestra. Good night.

Thats the boozer! knew it had a dodgy name. Sounds like it will be fun. Sod riding in the cold when there's fine drinking to be done!
