I understand why they are doing this. You don't need bicycles to deliver parcels if you steal all the fucking parcels instead of delivering them.
What will be the impact on Pashley?
Could be wrong but possibly not too bad for Pashley - I believe that they suffered quite badly when the Post Office was privatised in the first place (I think at the time they were running a decent trials team that got caned). Hopefully they will be ok.
Shame to see them go, but (and I offer this speculatively) given that fewer and fewer people write letters since the bikes were first specified in the 50's, 60's and 70's, is there not a chance that bikes are not actually that good for delivering the mail?
