It is clear that a number of members of this forum are in the police. We should not be surprised. The Met runs a very active and successful cycling club. Many policemen and women cycle and so why wouldn't they have an interest in fixed wheel or single speed bikes. Fixed wheel bikes are not just for kids in art school. Don't allow your prejudices determine your perception of the backgrounds of riders.
Naturally, any police officers who participate in this forum would not wish to advertise their profession. Brian Paddock, the Liberal candidate for London Mayor, caused a stir when he started posting on internet forums while a serving police officer. Being in the police is irrelevant to someone's enjoyment of fixed wheel riding.
I suspect that those who are members of the police take care to disguise their career when posting. Working on this assumption, the only person on here who is undoubtedly in the police must be lynx.
