  • Having a re-shuffle and am offering the following for sale:

Miche high flange hubs, 120mm spacing, single fixed, Surly (18t) cog and lockring. Unknown Italian 700c rims. Both run true. Front runs smooth but rear is quite graunchy and probs needs new bearings. £60 the pair?

Also still have the Soma Major Taylors going at £25, two no name ahead stems for a beer each and the Jaques Anquetil 60s 10 speed town bike still going for £170.

PM or call me on 07738 966 866.

    Thanks,

    Al.

  • how much for the front wheel?

  • what clamp size and length is that short silver stem?

  • how much for the front wheel?

Would rather sell as a set to be honest. If i don't get any takers i'll consider splitting.

what clamp size and length is that short silver stem?

Clamp size 25.4 I think. Length, not sure where these things are measured from to be honest with you. It's as near to as short as a riser can be. Probably about 40mm from centre of clamp to centre of steerer.

  • Update:

I should have mentioned the original ad that I can't accept paypal at the moment and would prefer cash and exchange in person. Can accept bank transfer if that's not possible. Postage will be extra at cost.

The wheels are provisionally sold to Mrs Butcher just awaiting confirmation that they can pay by bank transfer between exams before I post. chrisbmx116 and bradertan are second and third dibs respectively.

The Jaques went on Gumtree and is being looked at tonight but still available. The cheapo riser stems have been freecycled but the Major Taylor bars are still available.

    Thanks,

    Al.

  • Wheels sold.

  • What size is the Jaques?

I may have a friend who is interested.

  • Hey Wibble, it's 56 c-to-c. I'm 5'10 and it's just about perfect for me. Only fly in the ointment set-up wise is that the brakes are quite far down the curve of the bars and don't really have hoods as such, so I can only really access the brakes in the drops or with a bit of a stretch. I'd have moved them but the bar tape's pristine and so I didn't want to mess with it. Especially as it's for sale someone a cm or two taller than me wouldn't have any issues i'm sure.

Turns out the interested seller I had made me a best offer over the phone of £30. Noice. So it's back up for grabs. I'll take £160 now just to shift it (need to fund new wheels for my other bike).

Put some nice old leather straps on it at the weekend too. Here is the dedicated thread for it. With much information from original seller David.

  • Cool, thanks for getting back to me.. Unfortunately, my friend needs a smaller frame :(

If I didn't already have enough bikes I'd probably have taken this off your hands myself. Good luck
