• It could be alright but I'd be wary of ice on the roads with the 8am start. Is there a close date for entries?

I woudn't worry about ice too much until you get to Cumnor as you'll be on treated surfaces. Provided it hasn't rained the night before then you should be OK on that stretch to Pusey and then you're back onto treated surfaces again. It should be OK after than although the descent out of Blunsden St. Andrew can be a bit dicey.

The other area of caution is after Cirencester. Gloucestershire are notoriously crap at maintaining road surfaces and the can get very loose and potholey all the way up to Chipping Camden and back to Shipton under Wychwood. I would strongly advise you to resist the temptation to descend hard until you can see clear in front of you and preferably your run out as well. the climbing isn't that bad, it's more lots of short and sharp than long and grinding.

Make sure you have plenty of windproofing, it will be very exposed in places.
