Paul, or Fiddy as i always knew him was an excellent person.
3 weeks ago he said to me "i'll make it to New Year" and he was almost spot on, he died today December 31st.
When i last saw him on Tuesday the first thing he did was shake my hand, and as he did so he squeezed and pulled until he grimaced, then let out a little laugh as to say "I've still got strength" and i couldn't disagree, he certainly had some beans left in him.
i then poured him some apple juice which he relished by the looks of it, sipping it for a while then downing it in one.
the last thing i said was
" Fiddy you've certainly left your mark here you know, you won't be forgotten "
at that he seemed to brighten up and smile a bit.
Sitting there with him that day i felt so peaceful, i didn't say much, i didn't feel like it and Fiddy seemed all outta words too.
So there you go. Fiddy was a well liked well loved character who showed amazing determination right to the end.
James and Jon and Pigfarmer and Em, i think you've been amazing throughout for Fiddy. I don't think you could have done anything more.
All the best Fiddy I'll be having a drink in your name tonight.
