  • No actually, I got it because I don't want to use my track bike too much on the street to prevent it from bad treatments (since I broke my holdsworth I keep thinking that skidding and that kind of things add fatigue to old frames...) So this one will be used for commute, but I will definitely try it on the track (although I will keep its wheels for track only I think...)

I just finished a little CAD exercise to get a set of stickers if I respray it...

Then I tried the colour scheme I was thinking of (the few pictures coming up on google when typing Mercier show pink bikes...)

... and realised I was not far from this!!!

    Loic

Awexome - i have been trying to get hold of some decals for my Mercier for yonks! - need to get these ones ideally

  • Didn't know you had one!?

  • Its mid restoration - i.e stripped, ready for paint when i can find decals, with parts slowly getting polished up by yours truly.

Heres what it looked like when i picked it up for f-all from under a bed in a Brocante in Normandy . .

    have those forks been crashed?

    rake looks funny.

  • Highly scientifically, I just held a ruler up to the screen - looks straight enough, but it's not taken at a perfect right angle...

  • No, all straight, just the pic.

  • My Planet X SL Pro Carbon has arrived:

Its the basic Euro Build, with FSA Alloy bars, stem and seatpost. On-One saddle which is suprisingly comfortable. Ride seems excellent so far, very impressed with the front mech shifting on Ultegra 6700 vast improvement. Just need to replace the brake pads with some swisstop and all will be complete. Carbon ISIS crank and BB will be replaced in the summer.

  • what size is that and what bars are those?

  • FSA Omega

  • mmm what is the effective top tube? looks quite large.

  • cheers pifko

  • cheers pifko

Very comfy and make for easy reach of brake levers

  • Its an XL frame, effective top tube is 590mm

Bars are incredibly comfy, although take a while getting used to the looks. I have previously ridden ergo bars, however these feel just a good in the drops.
