Yup you're right fair play, my maths is just as bad as yours. No need to be a total wank.
You don't want the money then, potty-mouth?

6'2" with a 36" inside leg?
No, 6'0" with a 3'0" inside leg.
Heh, since I posted this one, I've discovered through doing yoga that my posture used to be so shit that I was two inches shorter than I should have been. So now I'm 6'2", inside leg still the same. :)

does anyone know if evans wll accept a price match with wiggle. it's a uk site but the prices are in dollars?
You have got your country/currency settings wrong - click on 'Worldwide Sales' - top left of the main page - then a new menu will appear over on the right (in the shopping basket section) - change '*show me prices in . . . . *' to GBP United Kingdom Pounds.
Wiggle are - for me at least - a consistently good place to buy bike stuff - the parts are shipped out from Ireland (must be where their warehouse is) and you usually get stuff the following day after your order, they also tend to have absolutely everything in stock, always, and there is absolutely zero problems with sending stuff back if it is the wrong colour, you have changed your mind or whatever . . .
Used to be 'Butlers Cycles' a little independent bike shop from Portsmouth.

nope. All price matches have to be done before sale.
Cyclesurgery price match any online retailer (provided they're in the uk) which includes wiggle. Dunno why your wiggle is showing prices in dollars.. are you looking at the .co.uk or .com site?
Yep, Cyclesurgery price match Wiggle, they don't tell you this of course !! But ask and they will lower the price to the Wiggle price.

I did not know this about Butlers cycles!
I used to go in there when at Uni in Portsmouth.
The Internet has certainly changed their fortunes.

I've sorted out the currency settings now, cheers all. I totally agree with Tynan, it is a great site I've ordered all sorts off it and always got it really quickly. I was just being impatient and needed a new set of bars as mine are bent beyond recognition. Just thought i should take advantage of the price match offer as they have it in Evans.

I would have told you that! And i work there.
But literally don't tell anyone else otherwise we both die.

I like cyclesurgery price matching; they actully go onto the internet to check you haven't potato-shopped the price on your little print out.
Evans you could probably mock up any old price and get away with it. I found a frankly ridiculous real price on Sealskin gloves (which turn out to be shit) and the discount was applied without a blink. Got a nice cateye front light for 25% off Evans rrp two days ago with them matching cyclestore.

I was about to say exactly this, Cycle Surgery are very thorough at internet price matches. I'm not sure that's a good thing, but Evans never check.
I once got a Park BB spanner from Evans which was £9.99 in store but they price matched to £4.99. 50% discount :)
I like Wiggle too, the Haribo is an added bonus and they do good swimming stuff too.

It was an Australian bloke (New Zealand perhaps, I sometimes get the accents wrong!). Polish guy that works there was also incredibly helpful over the phone, and got a little excited when he took down my name and realized it was Polish.
Cheers for the ups bednarz, (except for the Nz part, I'm Aus as meat pies!!) in doing a Evans search to see how we are seen by the general cycle community it's nice to see a positive against the general hatred for us.
Yes it is a big corporate company, yes it hires a lot of people that don't actually know much about bikes, but and I say BUT yes there are some of us who are amped on bikes and love getting people onto them regardless of type.Anyway I will go back to lurking, when I finally get my steeds going you will be sure to see me kicking about on a lurid blue/pink Evans SS and a Subrosa for trickery.

Ah Roger I'm very sorry for the Aus/NZ mixup!
It was also me that rang up to get the pashley princess sovereign built up at the start of the week, came in with the Mrs and picked it up the other day, she couldn't be happier with the bike and the friendly customer service, you lot are doing a good job in that branch!

I like Evans. Where else on the high street are you going to find anything in a size 32*?
*GA2G pays me to go there and pick up "sexy outfits in a village hall stylee" for him, which he then wears during his night-shifts while he's compiling lists.
Ahem, .....you're confusing Jamaica with Grenada.
One is famous for 2 original styles of music, the world's fastest runner ever, and violent crime. The other is famous for Grand Anse beach.
Just saying. But I concede that the rest is true. I do wear sexy outfits when I create, or edit the lists. Want to see a photo?
I'd also like to pay Evans the compliment of having done "good" by me.
They sorted out my Cannondale frame replacement under warranty with no quibbles. Unlike Cycle Surgery (sorry äsm), who feel its their right to charge customers £100 for the service, and explain to customers its for the full-service that they never asked for. In fact, when my Bowery popped a spoke while I was still waiting on the Capo's return/replacement, Evans replaced the spoke and trued up the wheel free-of-charge......Which is really something, as they don't sell the Bowery, and many shops would have seen that as "my" problem. But they did it so that I could remain cycling, and felt that it was their fault for not turning around my Capo quickly enough. AND, also previously from Evans St.Paul's, when my saddle evidenced a defect, it was immediately replaced with a saddle of my choice, up to the suggested value. My Bowery now sports a Brooks B17, swapped over from my Capo (as a black Brooks didn't look right on a red and white bike). Loving the B17 by the way.
Evans St.Pauls. Fucking top notch.

never heard of it.
typing it into google brings up quebec, st lucia and martinique before grenada. -

Evans will not buy in a brand just for you! They are a massive company who minimises product lines so they can get warehouses full of the same few things. One-one are already sold direct from distro to consumer via Planet-x. So I dont think any shops sell there stuff besides planet-x.
Halfords can, actually.

Maybe I should have said Nutmeg production. Still, my brothers and sisters swim here EVERY week.
Can't be so bad really.

Just read this on the Evans cycles website. Even though they are a rival bike shop to where I work round the corner, this is some pretty good feedback

typing it into google brings up quebec, st lucia and martinique before grenada. It exists, and very nice it is too. Me and the missus got married on Morne Rouge beach a bit further along the coast for under £100. It would have been £12.50 but she wanted a dress and some flowers, bless her.

This is £5 off when you spend £50... 10%... basically equiv' to the LCC discount, but perhaps people have a use for it:
