How do I protect to clips from damage?

  • I've recently added toe clips to my pedals and when pushing the bike along they tend to scratch on the floor, this is due to having big toe clips thanks to my massive hooves.

Anyway, just wondering if any of you lot have this problem and is there anything I can buy/diy to the front of the clips to keep them nice and shiny and not scratched?

  • You'll have to live with it... You can buy the leather covered ones but all that'll happen is you'll wear through the leather first... Clips are cheap, no big deal... Or chop your toes off...

  • Never thought I'd be posting this

Or you could just ride the bike?

  • It's no coincindence that London's most famous hipster pusher of bicycles answered you first.

  • You're in The Book, Benjie... scribbles furiously

  • wouldn'tit just be easier to have a list of people who weren't on your list?

  • Ha ha.

  • shorter cranks.

    classic.

  • Try not giving a shit ?
I can't imagine why anybody would care, unless their bike was a museum piece, in which case - don't take the bike out at all.

The only way to avoid any kind of wear and tear is to not use the bike.

  • Spin the rear wheel until the pedals are at 3 and 9 O'clock, then put your mini-D through the rear triangle, locking the rear wheel in position.

Then as you push the bike around the clips will not wear, but you will end up with nice skid patches on your rear tyre, completing the look.

    Which book, Joey?
The Teenslain Book of the Deadtome?

How the fuck do you get pedals to be at 3 and 0 o'clock?

    Crank installation fail.

    Surely you mean 3 and 9 o'clock?

  • what is 0 O'clock?

*crosses out Teenslain's Compendium of Weapons from cover page*

  • you could just call it Teenslain's Deadtome.

    (dyswidt?)

  • Nice one, you're a real Billy Shakespeare... ;P

  • I fail at pressing numerical keys- I meant to say 3 and 9, hit 0 instead of 9.

  • Lies!

Cant tell time on analogue clock.
