Just started stripping my alu frame as faniced going for the polished look but was a bit surprised to find that the surface of the alu alloy is not what I expected. It is pitted with pin hole size black marks all over it.
Guess this is signs of corrosion but it is a new frame that had always had paint on it so how would that corrosion have happened/is that usual?
Guessing my only option is to now sand like a madman, and then polishing while I was hoping to skip teh sanding like a madman part!
