I've been looking at the on one 29er frame for some time now. I like the look of it because it sounds strong and can be geared or ss. I don't have any personal experience on 29ers but regarding suspension I'd always start off rigid, then add suspension after a while if you feel it is needed. My personal take on suspension is that unless you live somewhere with seriously hardcore trails it just takes everything down a level. You have to find tougher stuff for it to be a challenge.
