I have an index based on the scowl/snigger on cabbies faces. If your spinning out at 35 mph they tend to laugh at you, if your squeezing past them in a traffic jam they tend to scowl.
Laugh - 35-40mph
grin - 25-35mph
blank 15-25mph (they haven't seen you and are about to pull out)
Scowl - less than 15mph
I came across the idea when a taxi driver pulled up alongside me on a long decent and shouted "your doing 40mph!" before laughing and driving off. My legs must have been hilarious on a 69" gear.
How did he know you were doing 40mph?
because his speedometer said it when he was driving behind you? that's probably in the region of about 34mph then as speedos notoriously over-read
Fair enough, downhill, most people can let their legs get forced round at 175-180RPM it all sounds fine for 69GI.
