New 'Copenhagen' hub

this is unspeakably retarded, unveiling something at an international climate change convention that makes a bicycle (a pretty 'green' way to get about) more damaging to the environment. But mostly it looks like a ghost bike and that freaks me out. That is like inviting electricution.

How is it more harmful to the environment? the production of the 'hub'? surely that is a one off, and if it encourages people to ride more then will be offset quite quickly. if you just mean its use of electricity, it is all powered by cyling so is green
