It looks like, or should I say feels like I bought the wrong size fuji track. What a muppet.
The bike is a 56 cm with a 70mm stem and lo profile risers. With my saddle set to the right height there's about 12cm from the clamp to the rails. And I could possibly lose another cm for a perfect fit.
I'm about 173cm.
I can ride the bike fine but I do feel a touch stretched and there's almost no standover room. There is bits resting on the top tube. Also after each commute my lower back does hurt, indicating a non-ideal position.
For some reason when I tested the bike I didn't feel any of this (must be something in the air at evans) and the guy managed to convince me a 54 would be too small even though I asked several times. I guess he just wanted the sale.
Should I take it back and swap for a 54?
They should do it even though I have put 60 miles on it already.
I understand bike fit is a personal thing and giving an unseen view over the interweb is not ideal. But I did search a few threads on the matter and it seems almost everyone of my height rides a 54 and people a lot taller than me are happy on the 56.
Anyway, I'm pissed at myself for making a rash decision. Hopefully they can swap it. If not who wants to swap?!?
