• I'm a bit confused. Earlier this year, I purchased the Endura eVent waterproof jacket for £75 (half price at cyclesurgery) - this one http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/category/clothing/jackets/product/event-jacket-9133

I wore it for 5 days during a cycling expedition in Wales mid October, where it rained NOTHING AT ALL. Since then I've worn it one to twice a week and only 4-5 times it's actually rained enough to make it worth wearing it for its "waterproofness"

The problem is, where the water initially beaded up as it should do, it now absorbs into the fabric. Before I could also create a pool of water on the jacket, whereas now it absorbs slowly into the material.

Have I been conned? Or is this how such a jacket is supposed to perform? I thought it would last be at least the winter! The water hasn't got through to the inner layers yet, but I can feel some sort of cold dampness when I touch inside with a dry hand.My other jacket is also an Endura (Convert II) much cheaper RRP but at the moment is much more waterproof i.e. the water beads up.

EDIT: I would like like to add that the moisture that gets absorbed EDIT 2: I never never washed the thing either :)
