    3- you are taking a shallow right hand bend which causes your bikes angle to the road to be less than perpendicular
    4- it has been raining

    a car then pulls out of an unforseen side road, and you have no front or rear brakes, only your fixed gear bike.

    How can you stop?

    a/ brakeless fixie skidder
    b/ front brake only SS rider

    You could
    a) use your front brake, experiance front wheel wash out, and brake using face on road friction.
    b) skid your fixie, achieving little in the way of decceleration, untill you stop suddenly using face on car fricton.

    neither appeals.
