This could be fun, from Dr.Metal's understanding of bicycle brakes what do we think a novel systems architecture would be?

I submit a large nozzle on the underside of the nose that squirts glue onto the runway, thus increasing by several orders of magnitude the grip (and therefore decelerative force) of the tyres to the runway.

But what would happen if the runway was a really big treadmill running the opposite way to the plane?
