sorry but this is shite, you can make anything sound good, but for 4 grand i would expect it to be welded with liquid gold
and egg beaters? really?
I've got the road bike SystemSix, it may not be welded with liquid gold but it really is rather good.
Hence I would like to have the track version to keep it company.
I admit the egg beaters are an odd choice, but as AndyP points out they are good for mud until they explode without warning.

Lew_redd sold a chrome Carlton on the forum a couple of months ago but this aint it.( I bought it from him).
Apparently in the 1960's all BCF track winners were given a chrome Carlton. Is this (or something like this), true?
He's selling a rather nice Carlton track frame in the classifieds atm. -

I drank a bottle of that shit once and was burping it all night. Whenever I see it I can still taste it and get a phantom headrush on. Nasty.

acili chrome carltons were quite common,
i thought the road versions were common. this is a track frame with no mudguard eyes and presumably steeper angles.

Could be quite a charming frame/bike.@coppiThat and TomBurtonArt. I've think I've heard of acili chrome but don't really know what it is. Google didn't help me. If you have time for a brief explanation or how I could tell the difference, I'd much appreciate it.

"all chromed with transparent copper acrylic painted over it. Carlton called this finish Acrilichrome. The effect can be seen where the paint still remains under the headstock badge. A very pretty, but probably not very durable, finish."
