    Does you and the site now being UK based change the legal side of things? Have I got the wrong end of the stick?

    There's definitely no ambiguity about legal domain on my side... we're definitely covered by UK law and the Data Protection Act as a result of being in the UK. I can still validly avoid liability for things said, and that remains a civil matter for those involved, but I won't have the ability to dismiss so casually copyright and other claims so I have to bear those in mind.

    Upside though is that the traffic will not be under routine monitoring by the USA and the ability to secretly request files from the ISP without a warrant doesn't exist in the UK. So as long things aren't criminal then this should make the data safer.
