Guys, I apologise on not getting all your cigars to you by now. I know forms, EEI, eyebrows and CJ are still waiting on some or all of the cigars they ordered. I had hoped to be at SE beers tonight to reunite a couple people with their smokes but that's not going to happen now.
I have had some nasty luck with an ear infection that has gotten progressively worse despite taking antibiotics. I am now stuck with the right side of my face and neck swollen into an elephant man impersonation, deafness and pretty much a load of pain. I'm not going to work and I can barely move my head without it hurting like a bastard.
All the cigars are here and are in my humidor. I will try to work out with everyone a time and place to collect. I hope to be more mobile by tomorrow and can then to start getting cigars to their owners. I'll throw in a couple extras to take the sting out of the extra wait.
Apologies for the hold up.

heal the fuck up.
i'm still waiting on my fucking humidor -

Don't stress it Dale, you get yourself better, thats way more important than dropping off cigars, even if they are very nice cigars... ;)
Get well soon mate, hope your ear etc returns to normal soon!

Dale, the gave me a new shorter cast, so my fingers are free and maybe I will be able to drive. If you are staying at home, I can pop in to pick up the stash.
Get well and don't stress yourself much. -

I´m in Spain and just found out that after the first of the year the smoking ban becomes serious. They´ve had a smoking ban here for 2 years but you´d never know it because of the loopholes. Small businesses, restaurants and bars were allowed to decide for themselves to allow smoking or not and large ones just needed a separate smoking section. Essentially you could smoke anywhere.
Seriously bummed because Spain was my one place where I could sit indoors at a bar or restaurant and enjoy a cigar.
Anyway, still thinking about doing another group buy later in January. I don´t know what ones yet but I think I´ll probably pick a Trinidad. Anyone interested should start thinking about preferences.

That's a shame about Spain. To be fair though, all you need to do is book your missus into a spar (or something similar) for the weekend, and we could have a big smoke-up at your gaff!
I'm definitely up for another group buy, there are a few cigars that I'm very interested in trying.... I'll have a think about it and get back to you.
Could you please post up a few links to the type of igloo coolers you consider best for turning into humidors. I not really sure what I should be looking for...

I've decided to childishly rate some of the cigars I've smoked in the last few months, from 1 to 10 (10 being sublime). I offer no explanations on how I went about deciding the ratings, or on the complexity of the differing flavours. Strictly numbers.
- Romeo y Julieta - Belvedere (I think) - 4/10
- Por Larranga - Petit Corona - 5/10
- Ramon Alllones - Small Club Corona - 6/10
- Ramon Allones - Specially Selected Robusto - 6/10
- Hoyo De Monterrey - Hoyo Des Dieux - 6.5/10
- Bolivar - Royal Corona Robusto - 7/10
- Montecristo - No. 4 - 7/10
- Trinidad - Reyes - 7/10
- San Cristobal - El Principe - 8/10
- Cohiba - Robusto - 8/10
- Cohiba - Siglo VI - 9/10
- Partagas - Short - 9/10
I have high hopes for the SCdlH La Fuerza, as well as the Cohiba Siglo II, and the Partagas Serie D No. 4, among others, but having not smoked any of these yet, I can't rate them.
Happy Xmas everyone, I hope you had a chance to enjoy yourselves a cigar or three!
- Romeo y Julieta - Belvedere (I think) - 4/10

I agree with you top 3 highest rated! You will love the Siglo II
Got given a Monte No 2 by santa, which made a fine finish to my xmas lunch
Had one of these the other day and was impressed - a good quickish smoke (30 mins), nice flavors, interesting shape too with a very smooth draw too. Nice cigar for the winter as it can be smoked outside before you freeze your nuts off!
Cuaba Divinos

Definitel up for another group buy

I really like Cigars with interesting shapes... I know that it doesn't affect flavours, but it can make them feel more special which almost makes smoking them more enjoyable...
Anyway, maybe we should consider some of the stranger vitolas for the next cigar buy. -

San Cristobal de La H. Muralla
Maybe some of these for the next buy?
I would also really like some small cigars in the next buy - somewhere in the region of Trinidad Reyes, SCdlH El-Principe in terms of size. Any suggestions? -

Sancho Panza Bachilleres
Length: 116mm
Ring: 40These are apparently quite rare, but could be worth trying to get hold of.

I am always up for trying out something new

Just smoked my first La Fuerza - twas worth the wait. pretty fantastic smoke - innocent bystanders were complimenting me on the aromas!
-
• #416
ive smoked many many types, normally in a state tho when i do, tends to be the most expensive they have at the bar, but for everyday chonging i can recommend phillys blunts, nice smooth smoke, already cut and have a bit of a chocolatey flavour to them, make good j's too :D

Just had my final Partagas Short, really liking them, think they might be my new go to cigar of choice - and to think if it wasnt for LFGSS i might never have tried em!
-
• #418
The Shorts are my cigar of choice. Not only are they in my top three cigars, but I find I often don't have time for a bigger cigar, so I always end up wanting to smoke a Short. If people are up for including them in the next buy (I know Dale has a fair few of them already), I think I might get ten of them, and then maybe just five of something else...
I think I've got 13 Cigars left, and they are all robusto sized or bigger, as I always seem to reach for the smaller Vitolas. -
• #419
Wow, I've neglected this thread. I didn't see all these posts since my last one.
Shorts are fantastic; I've yet to meet somebody who didn't care for them. I find that I tend to smoke much more of the smaller sizes anymore for a couple of reasons. One is that while they might not have a load of finesse compared to a larger stick, they have a full-bodied flavour that I like. I also like to enjoy my cigars free from distractions and ones that require 30-45 minutes are easier to do that with than ones requiring more than an hour to smoke.
I think I might have a few Bachilleres kicking around. They are an interesting smoke and have an almost salty flavour. They're not in my top tier, but I do like them and they tend to fly under the radar as they're underrated.
I like Cuaba a lot but have had construction problems with the smaller ones where they are just too tight to draw. Hopefully they're being rolled better nowadays as the Cuaba line is tasty.

guys, my scottish friend wants to sell her cohibas again.
she is a pain in the ass, but i said i'd put something up for her.
25 cohibas, in the box. i posted something about it way back, and a nice forumenger offered her lots of notes, but she foolishly ummed and arrred and didn't sell them.
whatever, any SEasties looking for a box? -
• #421
Doubt they will be in the best condition Erin, if they've been out of a humidor for the last 3 months. Having said that, it has been quite humid in London at least. How much is she looking for? I might be interested in half a box if the condition is ok. Pm me!
-
• #422
agreed. i am just putting it up because when i say i am going to do something, i do it.
i'll tell her you offered her a 5er
the dozy mare, she could have got 250 for these 3 mths ago but she got greedy -
• #423
oh and she is only looking to sell the whole box, for a ridiculous amount..
-
• #424
sounds like she better get smoking then! Lol

Dale, now I've got the stash I have nowhere to smoke! I smoke cigarets outside because of the kids and for some reason I can't see myself smoking corona on my door step in the middle of housing estate :-)
We need to sort it out!
Ooooh, I have to find a way to get to you and I'm not used to the public transport :-)
